If I Were A Betting Man: Oscars 2009

Here are my pics for wins at tonight's Oscars. Let's see how well I do. The hardest one for me to pick was Best Actor, which I eventually gave to Sean Penn. But that's a tough race between him and Mickey Rourke. Also best supporting actress is a crap shoot. Tomei has surprised in this category before and Henson seems to have a lot of momentum, but I'm still going with Cruz.

So we went to this Oscar Party where there was this crazy guy who knew all kinds of movie stuff and I think worked as a PA on a bunch of films so he was a great source of knowledge throughout the show. He won our Oscar voting contest, but I think you might have beat him in overall picks! Anyway, speaking of betting men, he said that the risk of Heath Ledger NOT getting the supporting actor award was so low that the Vegas odds were something like 40:41. What did you think of that crazy musical number? I thought it was TERRRIBLE.
